Riverside Animal Hospital is a growing, privately owned, one-doctor veterinary practice in Fayetteville, NC. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and customer-focused Receptionist to become the first friendly face our clients see when they walk through our doors.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday
• 8:15 AM – 5:30 PM
• Lunch break from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
• No weekends

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and pets with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Answer a multi-line phone system and provide exceptional customer service.
• Schedule appointments efficiently.
• Check patients in and out.
• Process payments and explain invoices.
• Maintain accurate client and patient records using our practice management software.
• Respond to client questions regarding appointments, medications, and hospital services.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians and support staff.
• Assist with prescription refill requests and medical record requests.
• Perform general administrative duties including scanning, filing, and data entry.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Support the veterinary team to help ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working around dogs and cats.

Preferred

• Veterinary receptionist experience.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service role.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software (Pulse experience is a plus).
