The City of Fairview is seeking two energetic, organized, and enthusiastic Summer Program Leads to help lead our summer recreation and meal program. This seasonal position plays a key role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for youth and families while supervising staff, coordinating activities, and supporting daily meal site operations. Position at a Glance Department: Recreation Position Type: Seasonal/Temporary (Non-Benefited) Duration: Mid-June through Mid-August 2026 Hours: Up to 150 total hours for the season Schedule: Primarily Monday–Thursday, approximately 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends as needed. Location: Primarily Gresham and Fairview area recreation and summer meal sites. Salary: $22 per hour Application Deadline Position is open until filled. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Lead and supervise a team of Seasonal Recreation Aides at summer youth program site. Plan and oversee engaging recreation activities, including sports, games, arts, and enrichment programs. Coordinate daily summer meal service operations while ensuring safety and program compliance. Create a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for youth, families, and community members. Serve as the on-site leader by problem solving, supporting staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Act as a role model and mentor to youth, volunteers, and Park staff. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years of experience in related field preferred. Special Requirements/Licenses Valid driver's license required. First Aid and CPR certification preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish skills are desirable. Must successfully pass required background checks.
