Technical Director

We are seeking a Technical Director to lead and define the next generation of our extrusion coating, laminating, and converting technologies. This role will replace a long‑tenured technical leader and offers a rare opportunity to shape the technical direction of a growing, customer‑focused manufacturer in the flexible packaging and graphic arts markets. This role will be on‑site in our Darien, WI facility. This is not a maintenance role—this is a hands‑on technical leadership position responsible for driving innovation, solving complex customer challenges, and aligning materials, processes, and performance to win in the market. What You’ll Own Technical leadership across extrusion coating, lamination, and coating processes Development and optimization of multi‑layer packaging structures Expertise and application of adhesive systems (solventless, solvent‑based, water‑based) Material selection and performance across substrates: Polyolefins (PE, PP) Polyester (PET) Foil, paper, and specialty films Direct involvement in: Customer technical support and problem‑solving New product development and commercialization Process optimization and troubleshooting on the plant floor What Makes This Role Different Direct impact on revenue growth and customer success High visibility with executive leadership Ability to define technical strategy , not just execute it Opportunity to modernize and evolve a well‑established technical foundation What You Bring 10+ years in flexible packaging, coatings, or converting Deep hands‑on experience in at least one: Extrusion coating Laminations Strong working knowledge of: Adhesive chemistries and applications Film substrates and performance characteristics Converting processes and equipment Proven ability to: Solve complex technical problemsInterface with customers and suppliers Translate technical capability into business value Ideal Background Technical leader at a flexible packaging manufacturer Senior application engineer from an adhesive or film supplier R&D or process leader in coatings, laminations, or extrusion Leadership & Transition You will work closely with our current Technical Director to ensure a successful transition of knowledge, relationships, and processes. #J-18808-Ljbffr Protect-all, Inc.
