As part of its continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Engineer (m/w/d) to further develop the German market and build strong relationships with customers, partners, and public stakeholders. This position is ideal for an experienced technical sales professional who understands complex capital equipment, engineering solutions, and long sales cycles. You will combine technical expertise, business development skills, and commercial responsibility to develop strategic opportunities within industrial and public markets. Your Responsibilities Strategic Market Development Develop and execute a growth strategy for the German market. Identify new business opportunities with industrial customers, municipalities, public organizations, and technical operators. Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers and stakeholders. Expand the company’s presence within relevant market segments. Technical Sales & Project Development Advise customers on complex technical solutions and customized engineering concepts. Understand customer requirements and develop solutions together with internal engineering teams. Manage the complete sales process from opportunity identification through contract closing. Conduct technical presentations and discussions with engineers, technical managers, and senior stakeholders. Tender Management & Negotiations Support and manage complex tender processes, including public procurement projects. Coordinate technical and commercial requirements throughout the sales cycle. Lead negotiations and drive projects successfully towards contract award. Market & Competitive Analysis Monitor market developments, customer needs, regulations, and technological trends. Identify future business opportunities and contribute to the company’s strategic growth in Germany. Your Profile Technical degree in engineering, such as Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification. Several years of experience (ideally 10+ years) in technical sales, business development, project sales, or commercial engineering. Proven track record selling complex technical products, machinery, equipment, systems, or industrial solutions. Experience with long sales cycles, strategic customers, and consultative selling approaches. Experience working with municipalities, public organizations, utilities, infrastructure providers, or industrial customers is highly desirable. Experience in one or more of the following areas is an advantage: Water / wastewater solutions Energy and industrial plants Process engineering Machinery and equipment Infrastructure solutions Heavy equipment or capital goods Ability to understand complex technical topics and translate them into customer-oriented solutions. Experience with tenders, project business, and stakeholder management is beneficial. Your Personality You are an experienced technical sales professional who enjoys developing markets, building relationships, and taking ownership. Ability to build trusted long-term customer relationships. Independence, motivation, and a hands‑on approach. Languages Native-level German is mandatory. Very good English skills for international collaboration. French language skills are an advantage but not required.
