Local Contract Nurse Practitioner - Oncology - $110-120 per hour

Talent4Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Oncology for a local contract job in Brooklyn, New York.

Job Description & Requirements

2-3 Years of NP exp. 
Hem/Onc AP Life Support (ACLS, ATLS, PALS, BLS)
Active State License Required? Yes, New York 

• CSR/DEA Requirements (NY): YES 

Certifications: ANCC/AANP Certification Preferred: AOCNP Certification 

Experience: 1-2 years Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Certification Preferred, Oncology Certified

Both NPs and PAs need the Chemo/Immuno cert. Provider orders chemo but the RNs infuse the patients. 

They still need to be certified to know all the medications/protocols/patient management and side effects-monitoring toxicity etc. It’s a volume of knowledge that is required for oncology patient care in a practice but they also are called to monitor patients undergoing infusions (reactions/lab values etc).
