Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, aspirations, and lived experiences.

• Utilize established therapeutic frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client healing and recovery.

• Educate and support clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment modalities, and self-care practices through informative sessions and resources.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.

• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to maintain an integrated approach to client wellness.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to enhance the efficacy of therapeutic interventions.

• Maintain comprehensive, confidential records in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing case consultations, participate in team meetings, and pursue professional development opportunities to refine skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders. Your expertise will directly aid vulnerable populations, including those who might be homeless, refugees, or survivors of domestic abuse. Your role will not only facilitate recovery but also empower clients by equipping them with coping strategies for their mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
