Communications Officer

We are looking for a Communications Officer to support Norfolk & Norwich Festival Communications and Development team in their communications, audience development and fundraising across all activities and initiatives including the annual Festival and year-round schools and communities work. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody to input into the year-round planning and delivery of our work. You will get first hand experience of working on a multi-artform programme and with a variety of stakeholders. Work collaboratively with the Communications Officer (Content) and others to deliver rich and varied content that reflects the organisations work, tone of voice and successfully engages target audiences, funders and builds relationships with external stakeholders to enhance the organisation’s visibility through online content. Lead on the development of the organisation’s social media communications ensuring an active and engaging presence across all its channels. Working with others in the team to curate content appropriately. Monitor social media analytics to track the performance of content and implement data-driven improvements. Develop a keen understanding of online trends and engagement strategies. Support generation of high-quality and visually engaging and relevant film and photography content including event coverage, promotional videos, interviews and project documentation. Support editing of supplied film and photography content to ensure it meets professional standards and aligns with the organisation’s branding and messaging. Develop the organisations use of, and relationships with, social media influencers. Create, commission, source and edit supplied copy for organisational website, e-mail campaigns or publications. Assist the Marketing & Box Officer Manager with content and execution of marketing and communication campaigns. Support the Head of Communications & Development in the commissioning of collateral, booking of advertising space. Support the Marketing & Box Officer Manager with website management and strategic development. Plan and deliver events such as launch events, press briefings and receptions. Provide in-house graphic design support, creating artwork for print and digital outputs. Become a Spektrix ‘Super User’ and support the Marketing & Box Office Manager in delivery of Box Office and ticketing function.
