Business Development Representative

About The Role As a Business Development Representative, you’ll play an important role in helping Psych Plus grow by building relationships with healthcare providers and identifying new referral opportunities. This is a field‑based position, ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the community, meeting with providers face‑to‑face, and helping connect patients to much‑needed behavioral health services. You'll support the team by identifying potential partners, setting up introductory meetings, and helping implement strategies to grow our presence in key markets. Responsibilities Visit clinics, hospitals, and provider offices across a designated region to promote Psych Plus services and strengthen referral partnerships. Research and identify new business opportunities within the local healthcare community. Learn about industry trends and provider needs to support outreach strategies. Schedule and attend meetings with potential partners to introduce Psych Plus offerings. Support the sales and outreach team with follow‑up communication and relationship management. Help maintain tracking of outreach efforts, contacts, and meeting notes in CRM or other tools. Provide weekly updates to the team on progress, new leads, and outreach efforts. Collaborate with internal departments to support the onboarding of new provider partners. Requirements MUST HAVE 2 years of mental health experience required Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Must be willing to travel frequently. 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, community outreach, or healthcare support roles preferred (internships or campus roles count). Passion for healthcare and interest in behavioral health. Strong people skills—you enjoy talking to new people and building connections. Organized and reliable—you can manage a schedule and follow up without being reminded. Comfortable working independently on the road while staying connected to a collaborative team.
