Maintenance Mechanic 3 - Lead Building MaintenanceUnder the supervision of the Maintenance Mechanic 4 in the West Region of the State Maintenance and Support Services (SMSS) Branch, a part of the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO), this position is responsible for providing skilled, journey-level functions associated with assigned work efforts for CFMO-related facilities, systems, and equipment located on Camp Murray and Joint Base Lewis McChord. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading maintenance mechanic teammates. Conditions of employment: Must successfully complete the appropriate background checks required for employment and to obtain/maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) in order to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret-level security clearance. Must be willing to sign releases of information and shall not have access to any investigative materials and files. The processing of background checks can take up to six months post-employment. Failure to successfully pass a background check may be cause for termination.
