Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 5th to 7th year Corporate M and A Associate to join its Houston Texas office. This is a transactional position focused on sophisticated mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and related strategic corporate matters for a mix of public and private company clients. The firm offers a well established corporate platform with a collaborative, partner led culture and meaningful client exposure. The Houston team works closely with colleagues across offices to support complex deal execution and ongoing client relationships. The Opportunity You will play a central role in running deal processes, coordinating diligence and specialists, and drafting and negotiating principal transaction documents and ancillary agreements. The practice regularly advises on acquisition and divestiture transactions, joint venture formations, and other complex business combinations. Ideal Candidate Profile The firm is seeking a 5th to 7th year Corporate M and A Associate with: 5 to 7 years of substantial corporate mergers and acquisitions experience Meaningful experience representing both public and private companies Strong transactional skills across acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, including drafting and negotiation responsibilities Active Texas Bar admission required Comfort working in office five days per week in Houston Why This Opportunity Stands Out This role offers the chance to join a busy corporate team handling sophisticated transactions with real responsibility and direct partner interaction.
