Job Description About the role As our Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property Americas, you'll help protect and strengthen the LEGO® brand's intellectual property portfolio across the Americas. You'll provide legal advice on trademark, copyright, patent, publicity rights, brand protection, and enforcement matters while supporting regional and global intellectual property strategies. Working closely with legal colleagues, business stakeholders, customs authorities, and external counsel, you'll help safeguard the LEGO Group's intellectual property and support practical business decisions. Required Qualifications Delivered legal advice across trademark, copyright, patent, and publicity rights matters Managed intellectual property enforcement and brand protection initiatives with measurable outcomes Led intellectual property disputes, enforcement actions, or litigation matters through resolution Built effective partnerships with business stakeholders and senior leaders while providing practical legal recommendations Juris Doctor (J.D.), LL.M., or equivalent law degree. Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Massachusetts or become registered in-house counsel. Preferred Qualifications Advanced customs enforcement or anti-counterfeiting program experience Developed intellectual property portfolio strategy, licensing, or prosecution approaches What you'll build Support and advance key intellectual property enforcement initiatives across the Americas Strengthen relationships with customs authorities, enforcement partners, and external counsel Improve awareness of intellectual property risks and best practices through training programs Contribute to regional and global intellectual property strategy initiatives Help manage emerging infringement risks, counterfeit activity, and complex dispute‑resolution matters Partner with stakeholders to balance legal risk management with practical business needs If you've worked in a role where you advised on complex intellectual property matters, managed enforcement actions, and translated legal issues into business‑focused recommendations, you'll feel at home here. Life on the team You'll join the Legal, Compliance & Responsibility Americas team within the CFO organization, reporting to the VP & General Counsel, Americas. We're a connected team working across Boston, Mexico City, Monterrey, Richmond, Billund, London, and Shanghai. What success looks like You'll become a trusted advisor who helps protect the LEGO® brand while navigating complex intellectual property challenges across diverse jurisdictions. Over time, you'll help strengthen enforcement programs, support closer alignment between regional and global strategies, and expand stakeholder education efforts. You'll work closely with the Americas Legal Team, the Global Intellectual Property Legal Team, business leadership, customs authorities, enforcement agencies, and external counsel to help shape meaningful brand protection outcomes. Compensation The salary for this position has a range of $107,885.00 - $161,827.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer. What's in it for you?
