Massara is an Italian restaurant from the team behind Michelin Starred Rezdora in the Flatiron District of New York City. The focus is on the cuisine of Campania, wood fired cooking and pastas of the region. We have a great team but are currently looking for a line cook whom loves Italian food and wants to cook the food from southern Italia and surrounding regions in a very authentic , Italian way.
Our restaurant is an employee-first establishment, where we believe that working together as a focused team dedicated to not only an unforgettable guest experience but also towards a work-life balance, will serve our guests in the best fashion.
We are looking for an experience Neapolitan pizza maker with the knowledge of using a wood fire oven.
As part of the back of the house team, you’ll receive:- Opportunity to learn all aspects of traditional cuisine from Southern Italy and surrounding regions with focus on wood fired cooking

Traits we’re looking for:
- This position is for someone that is looking to truly understand the cuisine of Southern Italy and surrounding regions
- Someone who has a background in Neapolitan pizza making
- Experience with wood fire oven
- Works well with their fellow peers
- A passion for Italian cuisine
- Desire to learn in detail about traditional flavors from Italia and specifically Southern Italia. We will work on contemporary variations of classic dishes from Southern Italy and surrounding regions
- Excellent organizational skills
- Cooks looking to execute delicious Italian food at a high level
- Self-starter with capacity to follow through on tasks
