BUFFET SUPERVISOR

Position Summary Position Title: BUFFET SUPERVISOR Location: Chicago O'Hare Airport Hourly: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Schedule: Must have flexibility In conjunction with unit management, the Buffet Supervisor at the Chicago Airport will monitor activities to ensure conformance with Company, government and accrediting agency standards and regulations, and will oversee daily buffet operations, ensuring smooth service and product availability. Key Responsibilities Ensures optimal customer service and client satisfaction Provides cost effective management that meets and exceeds stated expectations Assists in the responsibility for all operational activities including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all facility-related activities Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products Oversee daily buffet operations, ensuring smooth service and product availability Lead, coach, and motivate team members to meet performance standards Maintain food quality, presentation, and timely replenishment Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Coordinate with kitchen on production, timing, and execution Manage staffing, scheduling, and shift coverage Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally Lead pre-shift briefings and team communication Support inventory control, waste reduction, and cost management Qualifications Associate’s Degree, or comparable experience 3-5 years of relevant experience Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills Communication skills both written and verbal and ability to communicate with management, client, customer and associate levels The ability to multi-task and establish priorities Exhibit initiative, sense of urgency, responsibility, flexibility and leadership Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance/ AD Disability Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Time Off Holiday Time Off (varies by site/state) Associate Shopping Program Health and Wellness Programs Discount Marketplace Identity Theft Protection Pet Insurance Commuter Benefits Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Paid Parental Leave Personal Leave Equal Opportunity Employer Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
