Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough preliminary interviews with clients to gather essential information from the initial consultation through to treatment completion.
\n
• Evaluating clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to form a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
\n
• Developing personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored specifically for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitating engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, addressing a variety of mental health concerns.
\n
• Monitoring client progress throughout the duration of treatment, making adjustments as necessary to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
\n
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to create integrated intervention plans.
\n
• Coordinating follow-ups with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may require hospitalization.
\n
• Identifying and mitigating behavioral issues that may hinder recovery, providing strategies for effective management.
\n
• Providing guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a strong clinical background.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR.
\n
• Experience in treating clients with complex physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction issues.

• Knowledge of best practices as per the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Understanding the implications of psychotropic drugs and their interactions.
\n
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating a supportive and empathetic approach.

• Proficiency in utilizing various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and other evidence-based techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n
