Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments of patients to identify specific needs and establish individualized treatment goals tailored to substance use disorders.

• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans incorporating motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other therapeutic modalities.

• Lead individual counseling sessions focused on identifying triggers, developing coping strategies, and promoting recovery skills.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions to provide peer support and foster a sense of community among participants.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and relevant specialists to coordinate care and ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.

• Provide crisis intervention during substance-related emergencies, ensuring timely and effective support for patients and families.

• Educate clients and their loved ones about addiction, recovery processes, and available community resources and services.

• Maintain clear and accurate documentation in line with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

• Engage in continuous learning by participating in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including veterans and their families. Our clients come from various backgrounds and present a range of challenges. You will be instrumental in guiding them through their recovery journey, employing clinical expertise to address their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in California.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in evidence-based treatment modalities for substance use disorders and recovery-oriented care.

• Proven track record of conducting both individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and empathetic approach towards clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, specifically addressing substance use issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
