Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will be entrusted with a variety of important responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their unique challenges.

• Collaborating with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their specific needs, goals, and preferences, enhancing engagement and adherence to therapy.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to effectively address mood disorders.

• Providing education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster informed decision-making and empowerment.

• Monitoring and tracking client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Working closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care, coordinating around treatment plans and medication management.

• Staying updated on the latest research and developments within the field of mood disorders to continually enhance treatment methodologies.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engaging in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to refine clinical skills and keep abreast of best practices.

• Advocating for clients by promoting the destigmatization of mood disorders and representing their mental health needs in various forums.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who are coping with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Our client base is diverse, encompassing various backgrounds and life experiences. Your ability to empathize, connect, and communicate effectively will be essential in fostering a therapeutic relationship that promotes healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid license as either an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field, along with current licensure.
\n
• Demonstrated experience (minimum of 3 years) working with individuals facing mood disorders, learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and social/emotional disorders.

• A solid understanding of California Law and Professional Ethics, ensuring compliance and best practices in mental health care.
\n
• Must successfully clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ, along with a recent TB test (within the last six months).

Preferred Experience\n

While the required qualifications are outlined above, candidates with specialized training or certifications in methodologies such as CBT or DBT will be preferred. Experience in addiction counseling or working within a multidisciplinary team will also be advantageous as you navigate complex client needs.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The financial compensation for this role ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
