Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations to gain a clear understanding of each client’s mental health status and specific needs.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with the personalized goals of clients, utilizing evidence-based methods and therapeutic practices.

• Provide individual therapy for adults through methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to facilitate personal growth and mental health stability.

• Utilize our teletherapy platform to deliver virtual therapy sessions, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for clients throughout Hagerstown and beyond.

• Respond to clients in crisis, employing de-escalation techniques and intervention strategies as needed to provide immediate support.

• Engage regularly in professional development courses and training to stay informed about advancements in mental health practices and to continually refine therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a varied clientele that includes adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. Your role will involve empowering clients by providing the tools and strategies they need to enhance their coping mechanisms and achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a valid and current license as a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.

• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling an effective therapeutic alliance with clients.

• Exhibit compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude, fostering a safe space for clients to explore their challenges.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage client schedules and treatment plans.

• No history of disciplinary actions on your professional license.

• Experience in providing individual therapy, particularly with adult populations and various mental health disorders is preferred.
