Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical Telemetry. The nurse will work in a 40-bed Medical Surgical unit focusing on various patient care needs. The unit provides 24-hour inpatient care with an emphasis on exemplary customer service and patient care. Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The target patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5-7, which may fluctuate based on unit needs. The position requires the nurse to float as needed within the facility. Weekend shifts are required, with 2-3 shifts expected every six weeks. The unit uses various systems for medication and patient management. The candidate must comply with hand hygiene standards. EKG testing must be passed prior to starting in this specialty. The role requires adaptability and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
