Shipping Associate II – International Shipping

Location: Batesville, IN 47006
Duration: 12 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $19/hr
Job Type: Contract
Openings: 1

Important: International shipping experience is REQUIRED.

Job Summary

The Shipping Associate II will handle domestic and international customer shipments, prepare export/customs documentation, coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders, and ensure shipments comply with U.S. and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Pick, pack, and ship international customer orders .
Prepare and verify commercial invoices, certificates of origin, customs declarations, and export documentation .
Coordinate and track international shipments by air, sea, or land .
Work with freight forwarders and carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
Process orders from entry through shipment and provide tracking information to customers.
Follow customer shipping instructions and resolve carrier/shipping issues.
Ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign import/export requirements .
Review Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and determine ECCN classifications when required.
Create and modify customer invoices using Adobe Acrobat/Kofax .
Escalate unresolved shipping issues to the warehouse supervisor.

Required Skills

International shipping experience – MUST HAVE
Knowledge of import/export and customs requirements .
Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, and global trade regulations .
Experience working with freight forwarders and international carriers .
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
