Front Line Section Manager (Manager I, Department of Motor Vehicles) Salary: $5,237.00 – $6,550.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable. Location: San Luis Obispo Field Office, San Luis Obispo, California. Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Office Manager in a Grade III field office, plans, assigns, directs, and reviews the work of DMV employees performing vehicle registration, driver licensing, and related work. Makes decisions on office problems ranging in difficulty level from average to complex issues requiring interpretation of the law and departmental policy. Ensures staff follow office procedures, expectations, and processing laws. Special Requirements Valid California Driver’s License (CDL) required. Background investigation must be cleared prior to hire. Selected candidate will be required to participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program.
