Manager Show Site Operations

Summary The Manager of Show Site Operations is responsible for the oversight of activities within an assigned geographic region to optimize efficiency, profitability, and service delivery consistent with Freeman standards of excellence. This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week based out of Dallas, TX or Austin, TX. Works closely with regional team, clients, sales staff, cross-functional leaders, and a team of project managers to develop event plans including coordinating of pre-production, onsite, and post-production activities in line with event budget Acts as Freeman representative in the region to relevant stakeholders such as facilities, union leadership, vendors, and Freeman Expo branch Tracks production activities in the region to ensure planning milestones and optimum resource allocations goals are being met. Develop and deliver progress reports as needed Works with functional heads to see that hiring, staffing, discipline, and training are accomplished Oversees and executes production budget/bid reviews and assists with final invoice reviews as needed Visits and audits events in the region to ensure production, safety, and customer service standards are being met Actively participate in hiring, firing, training, coaching, and reviewing all members of show site operations Coordinate between show-site and warehouse operations to ensure quality of service andto build efficiencies and teamwork Create, follow, and enforce company guidelines relating to company policy, show siteoperations and safety Regional resource on venue information including but not limited to load in and load out paths, venue exclusives and work rules Reviews and updates as needed the facility profiles for assigned facilities in the region Ensures that all relevant operational and execution information for the region is accurate and up to date Assists with local venue site surveys as needed to ensure proper planning of events Reviews operational procedures and makes recommendations for improvements to enhance operational efficiencies, service delivery, and safety protocols Assist warehouse personnel in determining quality and usefulness of equipment Review and approve Coupa POs and Invoices to ensure accuracy and cost savings strategies Develop and foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere Perform other duties as assigned Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required College Degree from a four (4) year college or equivalent professional work experience. Four (4) years on site event management experience Four (4) years of supervisory or management experience Wide knowledge base in Audio, Lighting, Video, and Set Systems Must effectively manage time and resources Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time Excellent organizational skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel Travel Requirements Travel up to 25% What We Offer The Freeman Company provides benefits that aim to empower our people and their families to thrive mentally, physically, and financially.
