Business Continuity Planning Specialist

PDHIS is seeking to engage with a Business Continuity Planning Team comprised of two resources. A Business Continuity Specialist and a Senior Business Analyst to develop a comprehensive business continuity framework, guidelines, and templates tailored to the needs of PDHIS. Additionally, the contractor will facilitate the understanding and completion of business continuity planning across various business programs within PDHIS.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop a business continuity framework, guidelines, and templates for PDHIS.
• Facilitate business program understanding of business continuity planning.
• Support and guide business programs in completing their continuity planning.
• Work collaboratively across PDHIS to support the Cybersecurity Modernization Program.

Deliverables:

• Business continuity framework document.
• Guidelines and templates for business continuity planning.
• Facilitation sessions and training materials for business program staff.
• Progress reports and documentation of completed continuity plans for each business program.

Constraints and Special Considerations:

All contracted resources are expected to provide their own tools for effective remote work at their remote working location, including computers and mobile devices. PHSA will not be providing equipment to external resources during the contract duration, but will provide tools, software, applications, and access for remote work. All vendors and consultants are required to be in Canada and work in line with Pacific Time (PT). Working outside of Canada will need approval even on a short term/temporary basis.

Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:

A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a master's degree in business administration, Health Informatics, or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business continuity planning, preferably in healthcare or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare systems planning.
• Experience in clinical informatics is highly desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large and complex environment is necessary
