Practice Manager - West Palm Beach

Employment Type: Full-Time The pay range for this role is $63,822 - $92,187 annually. The pay range listed reflects a general hiring range for the area; the specific rate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, abilities, and education, and may vary depending on location and schedule.

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

In partnership with the chief of staff, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day‑to‑day operations so the medical team can devote their time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care. Their medical practice management skills drive business results and help develop associates and foster an engaging team environment. Along with a team of knowledgeable pet health care experts, the Practice Manager ensures that clients and patients have a positive experience when they visit the hospital. Through professional relationships with other stakeholders—including the veterinary medical team, field leadership, corporate headquarters and PetSmart associates—the Practice Manager helps optimize the growth of both businesses. The Practice Manager is also supported by a variety of educational opportunities and resources that support his or her career path.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education/Licenses: Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Required Experience: Three years related experience required (health care, veterinary profession, service industry, etc.), including direct supervisory experience (includes hiring, associate development, etc.).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Educate associates on Banfield guidelines and practices. Budget and plan for the hospital. Support daily operations and staff. Schedule associates, coordinate time off and manage continuing education needs. Interview, hire and develop associates. Evaluate the hospital’s processes, progress and productivity. Train associates on how to educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs and hospital services.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Knack for problem solving. Conflict management experience. Leadership and analytical know‑how.
