Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Description

An Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality and efficient care to patients in emergency situations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling diverse medical emergencies and delivering exceptional patient care.

Schedule

Contract duration: 13 weeks
Night shift available, working 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs
Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
Every other holiday required
Time off around Labor Day cannot be approved
Maximum approval of 40 hours for time off

Qualifications

Registered Nurse license in Virginia, with the possibility to submit with license pending
ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required; can submit with TNCC pending, must have it before start date
Minimum two years of nursing experience required
At least one year of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or two years in a Level 2 Trauma Center, with pediatric experience included

Responsibilities

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of practice in emergency medicine.
