Salary: $25 - $34 per hour. Hosted by Adam Cejnowski. About Us We offer inpatient psychiatric care for adults and seniors with acute mental health needs. Our inpatient programs provide short‑term, acute care treatment for depression, mood‑related disorders, psychosis, suicidal preoccupation, and other symptoms that cause major decline in functioning. Treatment Provided at Inpatient Hospitals Stabilization of acute crisis conditions Comprehensive and multidisciplinary evaluation Medication management for behavioral health and physical needs Intensive Outpatient Programs Our Hospital‑Intensive Outpatient Program is a premier full‑service mental health program. We have 7 locations across Louisiana that provide treatment to adults ages 18 and older. Treatment Provided at Intensive Outpatient Programs Confidential pre‑admission assessment Medication management Complete psychiatric assessment Development of coping skills Individual and family counseling Psychotherapy group sessions Transportation assistance available Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Qualifications Experience providing and managing social services for the mentally ill, including family, group, and individual psychotherapy with adults and/or geriatric patients, discharge planning, and case management of inpatient psychiatric patients. Licensed and/or certified to perform psychotherapy and/or counseling within the state; must maintain current professional licensure and provide proof annually. Certification in Basic Life Support required. Certification in non‑violent crisis intervention required. Core Responsibilities Support and implement the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Beacon Behavioral Health. Uphold and embody Beacon’s 5 Commandments for Exceptional Customer Service. Specific Responsibilities and Duties Providing social service needs for patients age 18 and older who are suffering from mental illness. Providing clinical individual, group, and family therapy as ordered by the physician. Assessing and reassessing social and emotional factors to help patients and families cope with daily living challenges and follow medical recommendations. Counseling and communicating with patients/families/primary caregivers regarding medical plans, treatment, and discharge. Recognizing and utilizing community and family resources to assist clients in long‑term community integration or coping with disabilities. Developing the patient’s plan of care within required time frames, coordinating with nursing, physicians, other therapists, patients, and families to address psychosocial difficulties. Initiating discharge planning at admission. Developing a discharge plan with the multidisciplinary team, patient, and family. Organizing and maintaining a wide‑range resource data set for the hospital to support discharge planning. Providing resource information to hospital personnel as needed. Developing, preparing, and maintaining individualized patient care progress records with accuracy and timeliness; submitting documentation within mandated time frames. Keeping abreast of social work trends, obtaining required annual continuing education services. Participating in the hospital’s QAPI program as directed by the Director of Social Services. Completing psychosocial assessments on all newly assigned clients within mandated time periods. Attending weekly treatment team meetings and adjusting treatment plans accordingly. Ensuring family contact, when applicable, is made and documented within 24 hours of admission. Serving as a liaison in the community as needed.
