Assembly Technician

Assembler-Sheet Metal Shift: First Employment Type: Full-Time Job Functions: Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint station lines and index points Trims and files parts to fit, and verifies fitting tolerances, using measuring instruments Drills, reams, and countersinks holes in subassemblies, and bolts, rivets, or otherwise fastens subassemblies into structural assembly, using hand tools and power tools Installs parts and components, such as incidental plumbing, electrical, rigging, or other functional items, in main structure, using hand tools and power tools May specialize in assembling and installing parts, structural components, and subassemblies to build wing assemblies Locates holes to be drilled in structural assembly for installation of parts and components, using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and Harlow Aerostructures LLC Position Requirements: Skills Required: Ability to read blue prints and tech manuals Excellent attendance record Ability to lift, squat and bend with up to 50 pounds Education and Experience Required: High School diploma or equivalent Sheet Metal Assembly experience, preferred Experience in bushing & bearing installation, use of liquid nitrogen, and installation of all types of fasteners such as solid rivets & blind fasteners, preferred It is the policy of Harlow Aerostructures LLC to provide equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants.
