Senior Java DeveloperTitle: Senior Java Developer - Remote - Prefer onsite 1/month in High Point, NCDuration: 12 Month ContractLocation: High Point, NCHours: Monday-Friday, 8:00A-5:00P ESTResponsibilities:As part of a JAVA Integration team, you will maintain and support existing systemsWork with new development of commercial applicationsInteract with Business Analysts to gather and define requirementsAnalyze use cases for validity and feasibilityConduct impact analysis and create estimatesDevelop effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and team standards.Contribute to technical alternatives for complex business problems and roadmaps.As part of maintenance and development work with test cases to verify codeParticipate and support in all levels of testing (System, Integration, Regression, Load, and Performance)Perform design review to help identify coding defects, discrepancies in requirements and help resolve issues with appropriate developers, partners, and stakeholders.Develop production support documentation and provide support for production issuesParticipates and supports release processParticipates in the development and support of Deployment tools and standard procedures.Identify changes that make the system(s) more efficient and/or reduces operation or maintenance costs.Identify and contribute to the optimization and continuous improvement of group’s Way of WorkingMinimum Experience:Minimum of 6 years relevant IT professional experience from application development and maintenance/support.Ability to collaborate effectively with team members in different geographies.Excellent written (Business & Technical), verbal and listening communication skills.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Technical Experience:6 years of experience with object-oriented programming6 years of experience with hands-on Java programming including Spring Boot4 years of IBM Integration Bus/IBM App Connect Enterprise including the following:MQ- Messaging QueWebservicesWebsphereJava 8 and up, with proficiency on the following libraries and the concepts supported by them:Spring and Spring BootSPRING JPAJMSRelational databases: Oracle and/or PostgreSQLDocker containersAgile principlesGIT source controlMicroservicesAPIsJBOSSPreferred Experience:Very well skilled in JAVA and IBM Integration developmentSkilled in IBM Integration – extra focus IBM Integration BusSPRING skillsJMS – messagingDB skillsJSON skillsUNIX skillsAzure CloudOther skills – not mandatory but useful:Understanding of scalability and experience of load testsUnderstanding if Micro services architecture and DesignAZURE skillsExperience of Automotive industryEducation Required:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
