Distribution Center Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an experienced maintenance-trained person who has an aptitude for working on fork trucks and other power industrial equipment (PIT). The ideal candidate will be able to perform repairs on conveyor systems, facility equipment, and execute maintenance on equipment throughout the facility. You may have specialized skills in one or more areas, or a specific equipment that would translate to our maintenance needs. We have new hourly rates to attract the talent seeking a work/life balance.Specific ResponsibilitiesPerform all activities in the safest manner possible. Working safely is an essential behavior.Observe, dismantle, repair and/or remove defective parts to install replacement parts.Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. May require the use of hand tools, levels, and straight edges, use of rulers, calipers, micrometers or other measuring instruments.Troubleshoot failures by examining parts to detect imperfections.May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder or other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.May initiate purchase order for parts and machines.Perform welding tasks as necessary.Know and comply with all OSHA and EPA regulations.Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary training or certification from a technical school or other higher education is a plus.Basic knowledge of electronic equipment and testing devices.Basic knowledge of environmental regulations.Good hand-eye coordinationAbility to read and interpret written instructions and repair manualsAbility to follow complex instructions and use precision instruments.May be asked to occasionally work anytime during a 24 hour day for emergency or planned downtime.Provide own tools if required.Minimum Job Experience RequiredMinimum of 12-18 months of maintenance technician experience. Prior experience in automotive repair is a plus.
