Job Overview A law firm seeks a Patent Agent with a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering to join their Intellectual Property Team in Cincinnati, OH. Duties Draft and prosecute patents, and conduct IP due diligence. Respond to office actions. Prepare, obtain, and analyze patent searches; assess patentability, prior art, non-infringement, and validity. Provide client counseling and manage portfolios. Engage in licensing activities. Requirements 3+ years of experience in a relevant field. Registered to practice before the USPTO. Proven experience in an IP law firm. Superb writing and research skills. Strong academic record. Experience with software development preferred. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Certifications USPTO registration. Skills Excellent patent drafting and prosecution skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and client management skills.
