Were building an amazing team for a new Contemporary Mexican Restaurant located in River Oaks Houston, 77027, Texas. We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Host/Hostess with previous experience in a full-service or upscale restaurant.
Job Description
A Houston-based Contemporary Mexican Restaurant is hiring a passionate Front of House Host / Hostess to join our Front of House team. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing outstanding guest experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Create a warm, friendly, and memorable first impression for every guest.
- Greet guests promptly and professionally upon arrival.
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Escort guests to their tables and ensure a smooth seating process.
- Communicate effectively with servers and management to maintain an organized dining room.
- Answer guest questions about the restaurant, menu, and wait times.
- Handle incoming phone calls and reservation requests professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area.
- Assist with guest flow to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
- Provide outstanding hospitality while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
What You Bring / Lo Que Tu Aportas
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Hablamos tu idioma!
- Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but we also welcome individuals eager to learn.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
