Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. This position prepares budgets and forecasts, develops and maintains financial models, analyzes financial performance, and delivers clear, insightful reporting to Senior leadership and operational teams. The role also partners closely with business stakeholders to drive resource optimization, improve financial processes, and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial planning and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans that align with organizational goals.

• Develop and maintain robust financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives.

• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and cash flow trends to provide meaningful insights into business performance.

• Assist with monthly and annual financial planning cycles, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.

• Perform detailed variance analysis comparing actual results against budget and forecast, highlighting key drivers and implications.

• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial and operational performance.

• Identify business trends, risks, and opportunities that impact financial results and recommend appropriate actions.

• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support executive decision-making and strategic projects.

• Prepare monthly financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for Senior leadership and other stakeholders.

• Partner with department leaders to review financial performance, discuss variances, and provide data-driven recommendations.

• Support operational teams with insights that guide resource allocation, cost management, and efficiency improvements.

• Communicate financial results, forecasts, and analytical findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

• Improve forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency through process enhancements and best practices.

• Assist with automation initiatives and the enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools.

• Support the implementation of best practices in budgeting, planning, and financial analysis across the organization.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting, or a closely related discipline.

• Hands-on experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Solid knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

• Experience with data visualization and planning tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Hyperion, Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar platforms.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain financial models that support strategic and operational decision-making.

• Background in a manufacturing or operationally intensive environment is beneficial.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong business partnerships.

• Interest in process improvement, automation, and the enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools.

• Motivation to grow within the organization, with potential for long-term opportunities.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office environment within a manufacturing facility. The position requires five days onsite during the initial training period to ensure thorough onboarding and familiarity with systems and processes. After training, the work schedule transitions to a hybrid model, with in-office presence required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and flexibility on other days as determined by business needs. The environment is professional and fast-paced, with regular collaboration across finance and operational teams and access to modern financial systems and reporting tools. The organization offers a supportive culture with the potential for long-term, permanent opportunities, though conversion is not guaranteed.

This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
