Role Overview

Apply your M&A and contract expertise to help train and evaluate advanced AI systems used in real-world legal work. This remote, part-time independent contractor role centers on drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining technology-sector agreements, improving how AI identifies risk, interprets contract language, and delivers precise legal analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises.
• Review and assess AI responses to contract scenarios, delivering expert feedback that improves accuracy and output quality.
• Develop objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for contract-related AI tasks.
• Partner with product and research teams to refine training data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-supported contract review.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 2 years of experience in the M&A department of a corporate law firm.
• Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and redlining.
• Familiarity with standard M&A agreements, including asset purchase agreements and stock purchase agreements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, close attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to turn legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
• Commitment to innovation at the intersection of law and technology, with experience collaborating across disciplines in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.
• Experience working with private equity firms.

Work Terms

• Remote, part-time independent contractor engagement.
• Work is completed on a task-by-task basis. Typical handling time is approximately 3.5 hours per task.

Compensation

• $90 to $130 per hour.
• Payment is task-based for completed work that meets project specifications. Effective hourly earnings depend on the volume of completed tasks and successful sign-off.
