Technical Writer

To shape the documentation foundation of a mission-critical Department of Veterans Affairs cloud platform, the full-time remote Technical Writer will produce, edit, and maintain a comprehensive suite of technical and operational documents for VA staff and millions of Veterans. Key responsibilities Draft, edit, format, and finalize technical documentation and formal deliverables in coordination with program management Produce and maintain weekly progress reports and monthly deliverables reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Section 508 requirements Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible documentation suitable for both technical audiences and VA executive leadership Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in technical writing, English, communications, information technology, or a related field 5 years of experience in technical writing for cloud platforms and enterprise IT systems Experience producing federal government technical documentation, including project management plans and architecture packages Knowledge of SAFe Agile methodology and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, and Confluence Active Federal Civilian Public Trust clearance and U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency
