Project Manager - Water / Wastewater

Dewberry is seeking a Project Manager - Water/Wastewater to join our Lakeland, Tampa, or Orlando office. This role centers on leading municipal water treatment engineering efforts and serving as the primary technical expert for a diverse portfolio of water treatment plant projects across Florida. The ideal candidate has experience with municipal drinking water projects and a broad understanding of various design aspects. Engineers with any level of relevant experience are encouraged to apply if they are motivated to focus on water treatment work. Responsibilities Assist with developing and managing water/wastewater projects with a focus on treatment, collection, and distribution systems, including studies, design, construction observation, feasibility studies, bench scale/pilot scale studies, master planning, plant operation, and regulatory negotiation/permitting. Work with design team across multiple offices and multiple disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans. Meet client deadlines and project budgets. Required Skills & Experience B.S. Degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering. M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering (preferred). 10+ years experience with progressive responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects. FL FE required. Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required. Familiar with Modeling and GIS software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff. Water/Wastewater infrastructure experience is a plus.
