My name is Avery, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group . We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Payload Systems Design Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Antonio, TX . Details of the position are as follows: Job Description Pay: $90.81 - $109.69/hr 6‑Month Assignment with possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and budget Mon‑Fri The position will provide oversight and direction to develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. Lead development, maintenance, and modification of structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3‑D CAD tools and/or other methods to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the lifecycle. Lead performance, integration, and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Manage supplier development, test and production activities, coordinating with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals. Develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort. Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 9+ years of experience in aircraft shipside support and blanket design Provide design and shipside engineering services for a military platform for insulation designs, aircraft monument designs, change orders, and drawing revisions in Catia, Enovia, and IVT. Shipside subject‑matter expert in insulation design, able to immediately contribute to the team’s velocity of work products. Work includes shipside support in an austere environment and includes climbing, scaffolding, and working inside a platform for shipside support while modifications are in work.
