JOB SUMMARYCoordinates operations of the SCCC Breast Cancer Program. The role will provide operational and administrative support on day-to-day activities and the planning, development, and implementation of standards that will contribute to the short-term and long-term objectives of the program by partnering within the Cancer Center’s Patient Care, Clinical Research and Administrative teams.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:1. Operational and administrative responsibilities will include but are not limited to planning, implementation, development and implementation of processes, coordination of program activities, and determination of resource needs. 2. Coordination of scientific meetings/conferences/retreats from conception, planning of the event, to the day of the event. 3. Work with internal and external key partners, leaders in the organization, representatives from external agencies/organizations in the management of the program to provide guidance, resolve issues, grow the program, and/or implement processes and/or solutions. Identify and define any logistics, action items, changes, or information needed to effectively manage the program. 4. Administratively coordinate the submission of large program project grants (e.g., P50’s, SPOREs, MPI grants, training grants, etc.) in partnership with the SCCC Grants Team or relevant department(s) under direction of disease-oriented team and scientific leaders of the program. 5. Assesses communication needs and coordinates with relevant stakeholders, including trans-institutional partners and pharma/biotech.6.
