We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist (ASCP) to join a hospital laboratory team. This role focuses heavily on Blood Bank operations along with other clinical laboratory responsibilities, quality control, specimen processing, and accurate result reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory testing on blood and body fluids.
• Perform Blood Bank testing and other assigned laboratory procedures.
• Process, collect, and verify patient specimens while maintaining accurate identification.
• Review and verify test results and investigate unexpected or abnormal findings.
• Monitor and perform quality control procedures to ensure accurate results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, reagents, refrigerators, freezers, and centrifuges.
• Document and report laboratory results accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and implementation of new testing methods.
• Assist with orientation and training of laboratory staff and students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, related science, or qualifying equivalent
• ASCP or equivalent laboratory certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Blood Bank experience in a hospital/acute-care laboratory required
• Strong clinical laboratory knowledge and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
