Location: Grand Junction, CO 81506 Employment Type: Part-Time Pay: Up to $21.00 per hour Schedule : Tuesday - Wednesday: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM |Saturday - Sunday: 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM Position Overview Citadel Security USA is seeking a professional and customer-focused Unarmed Security Officer to support operations at a public-facing airport facility in Grand Junction, Colorado. This position is responsible for maintaining a welcoming and secure environment within airport public areas. The ideal candidate is approachable, attentive, and comfortable interacting with travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and vendors throughout the shift. Because this assignment takes place in a highly visible setting, strong customer service skills, professionalism, and situational awareness are essential. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine walking patrols throughout designated airport public areas Maintain a visible presence to promote a safe and orderly environment Monitor terminal spaces, waiting areas, entrances, and other public-access locations Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or unusual situations Assist passengers and visitors by providing directions and general information when appropriate Communicate professionally with airport staff, vendors, contractors, and members of the public Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and completely Respond appropriately to security concerns while following site-specific procedures Report hazards, maintenance concerns, or operational issues to the appropriate personnel Support client expectations while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to pass any required background screening Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills Excellent customer service abilities Ability to remain alert and attentive in a busy public environment Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during assigned shifts Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in security, hospitality, customer service, transportation, or public-facing roles Experience interacting with large numbers of guests, visitors, or customers Familiarity with incident reporting and documentation practices Conflict resolution or de-escalation experience is a plus Work Environment Airport terminal and public-access areas Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift Regular interaction with travelers, visitors, airport employees, and vendors Indoor work environment with a fast-paced atmosphere Position requires professionalism, awareness, and strong customer engagement skills Benefits Eligible employees may have access to: Paid training Company-provided uniforms Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Opportunities for advancement within Citadel Security USA Supportive operations and management team Equal Opportunity Employer Citadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
