Security Officer

Location: Grand Junction, CO 81505 Employment Type: Part-Time Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour Schedule: Multi-Shift Coverage Position Position Description Citadel Security USA is seeking dependable and professional Security Officers to support operations at a healthcare facility in Grand Junction. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, medical staff, and contractors. Officers assigned to this location will conduct interior and exterior patrols, monitor facility activity, assist with incident response, and provide a visible security presence throughout the property. The role requires strong observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively in a healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds Monitor activity to identify safety concerns, security risks, or policy violations Maintain awareness of patient, visitors, and staff activity throughout assigned areas Perform scheduled exterior inspections of entrances, parking lots, and access points Observe and report unusual activity, suspicious behavior, or hazardous conditions Utilize CCTV systems to monitor designated areas and support security operations Respond to incidents, disturbances, and service calls according to site procedures Apply de-escalation techniques when interacting with individuals in stressful situations Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation using TrackTik Communicate effectively with hospital personnel, visitors, supervisors, and emergency responders Follow all client requirements, post orders, and company policies Support a professional, respectful, and customer-focused environment Minimum Qualifications Valid driver's license required Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to walk and patrol for extended periods during an 8-hour shift Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions Basic computer and report-writing skills Ability to maintain professionalism in a healthcare environment Dependable attendance and reliable work habits Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in healthcare security, hospital security, or related security roles Experience monitoring CCTV systems Familiarity with electronic reporting platforms such as TrackTik Training in conflict resolution, crisis intervention, or de-escalation techniques Customer service experience in a public-facing environment Required Compliance & Training Selected candidates must be able to: Complete all required pre-employment screening requirements Provide required vaccination records or obtain facility-approved medical clearanceSuccessfully complete Community Hospital onboarding requirements Participate in New Hire Orientation and required ACT Training Maintain all site-specific credentials required for assignment Why Join Citadel Security USA?
