PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly organized and proactive Engineering Support Specialist to support engineering and development programs through material planning, procurement coordination, supplier management, and inventory control activities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with engineering teams, managing critical materials, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring projects have the resources needed to stay on schedule. What You'll Do

Material Planning & Program Support

• Manage materials required for engineering development and new product programs.
• Coordinate material availability to support project schedules and milestones.
• Work closely with engineering teams to identify and resolve material shortages or supply challenges.
• Support prototype, development, and testing activities by ensuring required materials are available when needed.

Purchasing & Supplier Coordination

• Create purchase requisitions and coordinate procurement activities.
• Partner with buyers and suppliers to expedite orders and address delivery concerns.
• Monitor supplier performance and follow up on open purchase orders.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to support engineering and development schedules.

Inventory & SAP Management

• Track inventory levels and material usage.
• Maintain accurate records and transactions within SAP.
• Monitor order status and inventory movement.
• Support inventory accuracy and reporting activities.

Problem Solving & Communication

• Proactively identify potential supply issues and develop solutions.
• Communicate status updates to engineering, procurement, and management teams.
• Manage multiple priorities while ensuring deadlines are met.
• Build strong working relationships across teams and with external suppliers.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of experience in:
  • Material Management
  • Purchasing Support
  • Inventory Control
  • Engineering Support
  • Supply Chain Operations
  • Related fields
• SAP experience required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications

• Global purchasing or supplier management experience.
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or product development programs.
• Knowledge of procurement and inventory management processes.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Pay Details: $27.00 to $32.00 per hour
