Grants Specialist

Monitor federal and non-federal grant accounts, track expenses, perform project reconciliation, and provide research-related financial reporting. Perform funding corrections via direct cost transfer requests (DCTRs). Assist in developing financial projections for project account management. Assist in developing and submitting progress reports. Enter Notice of Awards (NOAs) details into databases as needed. Assist with preparing and submitting research compliance documentation. Participate in required training and education programs. Assist senior-level research administrators and leadership with other assigned activities. Serve as liaison between departments or research groups, Sponsored Research & Funds Administration, Accounting, and Finance departments. Prepare and route internal documents for signature and processing, maintain understanding of grant budgets and expenditure restrictions, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agencies. Requirements High School Diploma is required. One year minimum experience in administration of research grants. Experience working with research groups, the Office of Research Administration, Finance, Purchasing, Academic Administration, highly preferred. Excellent verbal/written communication skills and understanding Grants, Manuscripts and Abstracts guidelines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related applications required.
