Position Type Middle School Teaching/ English Description TeacherEnglish 6-8 Job Summary To work with the school Principal or his designee (Assistant Principal or Counselor and other staff) in a cooperative effort to plan programs of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students assigned to them. To take the planned programs and guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals as established by the individual school and the overall curriculum goals as outlined by the county in their expectations. Qualifications Valid West Virginia teaching certificate for grades 6-8 or as required by the state for the grade(s) taught. Teaching certificate must reflect specialization in subject area assigned. Selection Procedure Application Interview Recommendation of the Superintendent Employment by the Board of Education Term of Employment Regular employment term of 200 days Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board's policy on evaluation and professional personnel.
