We are actively searching for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to become an integral member of our integrated care team at Larson Counseling Center. Work Environment

This role offers a fully remote work setting, leveraging telehealth technology to deliver high-quality care. You will have the flexibility to manage your schedule while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to integrated care. While standard hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, some evening hours may be required on a rotating basis to accommodate client appointments. Your ability to adapt to varied schedules will be essential in providing effective support.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders to create targeted intervention strategies.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions for both mental health and substance use needs.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver individual and group therapy sessions designed to enhance clients’ coping skills, develop relapse prevention strategies, and promote emotional regulation.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurses, addiction specialists, and other team members to ensure a holistic and integrated treatment approach.
• Ongoing Monitoring: Regularly monitor clients’ substance use and employ motivational interviewing techniques to support them in achieving their recovery goals.
• Client Education: Provide education to clients and their families about the connections between mental health and substance use disorders, highlighting the importance of treatment adherence.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of treatment progress, interventions, and referrals in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Continuous Learning: Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training sessions to enhance expertise in co-occurring disorder treatment methodologies and improve client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals facing complex challenges associated with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This role requires a personalized and empathetic approach to understand the distinct needs of each client, helping to foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages recovery and resilience.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
• Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for co-occurring disorders including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Deep understanding of the integration between mental health and substance use disorders.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telehealth service delivery and familiarity with virtual therapeutic techniques.
• Previous work in integrated care settings or mental health facilities focused on co-occurring disorders.
• Training or certification in specialized therapeutic modalities pertinent to substance use treatment.

Compensation and Benefits
