Customer Service Specialist

About the Role Addison Group is partnering with a well-established company in the industrial and manufacturing space to identify a Customer Service Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service or order management experience who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and working in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Process approximately 20–30 customer orders per day, primarily received through email and Excel spreadsheets Provide professional customer support through email and phone Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, pricing, products, and order status Enter and maintain accurate customer and order information within CRM systems Handle returns, customer concerns, and issue resolution while partnering with internal teams Review pricing and assist with standard price adjustments and reporting Support sales initiatives, including lead generation and bid preparation Maintain strong knowledge of products and services to effectively support customer needs Collaborate closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure a positive customer experience Qualifications 2–3 years of customer service, customer support, order management, or related experience Inside sales experience is preferred Experience within industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or a related industry is a plus High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel CRM experience required; NetSuite experience is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Confident and comfortable communicating with customers and taking ownership of responsibilities Customer-first mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Stable employment history and demonstrated longevity in previous roles This position is approximately 85% email-based and 15% phone-based , with roughly 10–12 customer calls per day and a strong focus on order entry and customer support.
