Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is seeking an experienced pharmacist ready to support long-term care and mail order pharmacy services. The role operates days, Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm, with occasional Saturday shifts during the 13-week contract. There is potential for this position to convert to direct hire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications while maintaining compliance with legal requirements.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and identify potential over-usage concerns.
• Maintain confidential patient and pharmacy records with precision.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer medication-related questions.
• Provide clinical services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices like glucose monitors and blood pressure cuffs.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory and medical supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to address drug-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina pharmacy license required.
• Previous pharmacy experience essential.
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with ability to educate and advise patients and healthcare teams.
• Leadership capabilities to oversee pharmacy staff contributions.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
• Some Saturdays, 9am – 6pm
