Mail Order Long Term Care Staff Pharmacist in Greenville, NC

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to support long-term care and mail order pharmacy services in Greenville, NC. This contract-to-hire position offers a daytime schedule with a chance for direct hire after a 13-week assignment.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Some Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities include accepting and dispensing prescription medications, monitoring patient medication compliance, and ensuring all medicine supplies and prescriptions meet legal and safety standards. You will maintain accurate, confidential patient records and provide expert consultation on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Additional duties involve educating patients on medical device usage, compounding medications, supervising pharmacy staff, managing pharmaceutical inventory, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues.

Desired Qualifications:

Licensed Pharmacist in North Carolina
Previous pharmacy experience required
Experience in long-term care pharmacy is highly preferred
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
