Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients following established practices and procedures.
• Greet patients professionally and with compassion to create a comfortable environment for blood collection.
• Assist with patient check-ins via self-service kiosks or handheld tablets, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and patient information.
• Help maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the waiting and draw area to ensure a safe and organized environment.
• Assist with breaks and staffing coverage as needed, supporting team efficiency and patient flow.
• Handle specimens with care and sensitivity, adhering to confidentiality and safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns professionally.
• Support the overall smooth functioning of the laboratory and patient care activities.

Required Skills

• Strong customer service skills with experience in client-facing roles such as retail, home health aide, or similar positions.
• Proven ability to handle patients with care, compassion, and professionalism.
• Basic keyboard and data entry skills for documentation and specimen tracking.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to create a positive patient experience.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures accurately and efficiently.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience.
• Phlebotomy experience is required, including internships or externships in blood collection.
• Must have reliable transportation to reach the worksite without issue; candidates within a 20-25 minute commute are preferred.
• Availability to work scheduled shifts with punctuality and consistency; excessive absenteeism or tardiness may lead to termination.
• Schedule flexibility to cover breaks and staffing shortages as needed.
