About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 19 weeks Shift: Weekend Overnights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two (2) years of experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center License: CT Tech License (NYS) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: - HCP currently registered in NYS must have injection therapy certification on license - Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology - Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Description: Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan. Adhere strictly to department policy and procedure for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility. Utilize safe patient handling procedures. Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components. Assure images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred. Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills. Exhibit a patient and compassionate disposition. Work effectively as a team player to maintain a cohesive working environment.
