Service Center Specialist

Cutting edge technology in Trimble / CAT branded construction machine control is driving the need for a person with a special skill set. We are looking for a Repair Specialist for SITECH NW in our Kent,WA branch. Responsibilities: Responsible for assembling, adjusting/calibrating, cleaning, and testing instruments and subassemblies. Performs wiring diagnostics and troubleshooting of instruments, components and systems. Must be proficient in reading calipers, height gauges, collimators, VOMs and other measuring devices. Demonstrates understanding of complicated mechanical components, precision fit recommendations, instrument qualifications and calibrations. Provide support and troubleshooting to customer and service technicians. Answer questions and resolve issues involving the appropriate SITECH staff. Provide technical support as needed for prompt, accurate resolution of unique or complex issues. Escalate unresolved customer and service technician issues. Capture all pertinent customer information including, but not limited to, purchase orders, job site information, serial numbers, firmware version, warranty information, and upgrade codes. Requirements: High school diploma or GED required Technical school, or 3 years verifiable experience, in optical-mechanical assembly required Soldering and electrical circuitry experience preferred Experience in Programming or Building Computers Desired Fine motor skills/manual dexterity is required including: pinching, pressing, rotating, using tweezers, delicate tool work, etc. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to lift and move 40 lbs, with or without assistance We offer a competitive benefits package that includes a salary between $30.50 and $41.70 an hour, health benefits, vacation, sick leave, life insurance, 401(k) with profit sharing and company match.
