As a perianesthesia registered nurse in the Preoperative (PreOp) and Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will care for patients as they undergo or recover from anesthesia, continuously monitor and record vital signs, watch for side effects and adverse reactions, and be prepared to handle emergencies to ensure patient safety. Responsibilities Monitor patients’ vital signs during and after anesthesia. Record and interpret physiological data. Identify and manage side effects and adverse reactions related to anesthesia. Respond promptly to emergencies to ensure patient safety. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN or higher preferred. Current California State RN license. American Red Cross or American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certifications required. For RN III: Specialty certification (e.g., CPAN) within one year of hire. Minimum 3 years recent acute RN experience in PACU or Surgical ICU in a high acuity hospital. One year recent experience will be considered for Registered Nurse II. Experience in inpatient PACU and primarily Phase 1 PACU Care preferred. Compensation Shift: 12‑hour full time, evening (2pm start). Base pay: $58.96 – $94.34 per hour.
